The use of technology can help make students more independent learners. Some programs give them immediate feedback. In addition, Internet research is easier (and more compelling) to students - you just have to teach them to know the source!
I was not familiar with 5W/5E lesson planning. I like the template.
I'm not sure of the differences among the three assessments.
