Audition Oh no, oh no,
The time’s arrived,
Quick! Let’s hide!
I know I won’t survive!

Too late!
I’m on the stage.
I step forward. I say my name.
I sing a song. I say a line.
I’m done.

HURRAY!!!

I survived.
I knew I would.
Now I’ll see my part.
Yeaaaaaaaa!
People, out of my way!!

I’m the Tinman, and
I’m here to say
I survived. Whoopee! Hurray!

I'm also from a school in Shanghai. I really like your poem, I like how you read it so the listeners will know how the author meant the poem to sound.

You don't know me, but I'm from a school in Shanghai that also uses blogs. Our school is called SASshort for Shanghai American School! I like your articles, but I choose this one to comment on. Your life is just like mine. I had to do a play called James and the Giant Peach in fourth. If you know that story, I had to act as the centipede. in your story you have nice forshadowing.

This is an awesome poem! I know how it feels when you get nervous about going on stage, then feel happy when it's over!

Cool blog and podcast Chloe.
Was that true?
Even if not that was very true because I've been in a few auditions before because I go to an acting school every Thursday afternoon.
