Today I learned about resources for evaluating resources. The website that took me through step by step questions to evaluate websites is extremly useful. Students need to learn how to evaluate information. Many students think that because it has been published on the internet it must be accurate. Many adults do not even know how to evaluate websites. This is a skill that student must learn. I plan to spend time at the beginning of the year teaching students how to evaluate websites. This is a skill that can take them through the rest of their lives. Students will always need to know how to evaluate information for quality and usefulness. I know this will be a time consuming process in order to efectively teach students to evaluate websites. I do not anticipate any major obstacles. There is nothing in particular I need help with over the next two days. I need to spend time developing my learning plan. I have a lot of work to do.
