China’s chemicals all over the city
Harbin one of the biggest cities in China. It gets most of its drinking water from the Songhua River. But don’t worry, this city is getting lots of bottled water. They have chose to close the river because of pollution. The kind of pollution is Benzene. Benzene is a colorless liquid, just like water. It is very dangerous and can cause a lot of heath problem to be caused. Lots of other places don’t even know about the pollution so they could be in great danger.
I think it is horrible that they don’t have their source of water anymore because of pollution. But it’s nice that they are getting water anyway.
